“Inspiring Creativity, Nurturing Expression, Cultivating Insight”
In my art teaching practice, I believe in fostering an environment that nurtures creativity, encourages self-expression, and cultivates a deeper understanding of the world through artistic exploration. Art is not merely about technique; it is a powerful tool for personal and societal transformation.
Teaching Philosophy
"The future belongs to young people with an education and the imagination to create."
An art teacher must be aware, considerate, inclusive, engaging and adaptable to the needs of their students as well as creative and able to deliver well thought through lessons. As educators and educational institutions we need to address the unconscious biases within our society and which inevitably seep into the curriculum and its delivery. In my classroom I want learners to feel like their opinions count and that they are represented in the content I provide.
I aim to empower students to become not only skilled artists but also thoughtful and engaged members of society through the art curriculum.

Experimentation and collaboration are fundamental to creativity and I aim to include these elements in each Unit of Learning I deliver. I found that learners embraced experimentation when given a framework and guidance. In every lesson I try to outline how my students can be successful and what they can do to get there, which promotes a sense of achievement in every student.
